SUSAN SOTIR

Susan brings over 25 years of experience in sport, coaching, and education to BPC. She has worked with beginners seeking fitness, youth and junior elites, competitive adults, and professional athletes. She has been a member of the coaching staffs for the USA Triathlon Northeast Regional Development Camps, the Northeast Collegiate Draft Legal Triathlon Camp, the USA Triathlon Junior Elite Specialty Camp, as well as age group, high school, and masters swim teams.

Susan was a DIII swimmer at Tufts University and her first triathlon was in 1989. Since then, she has raced triathlons from sprint to Ironman distances, some years racing near the front, and some years not so close to the front when other parts of life took priority. She coaches and races with the belief that outside playing is always better than at home, not playing.

Susan has a Ph.D. in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Springfield College, is a USA Triathlon Level II coach, and is a certified strength and conditioning coach (NSCA-CSCS). In addition to sport coaching, Susan serves as a consultant for elite athletes and coaches developing and integrating mental skills into sport practice and performance.
