KIM WEBSTER


After graduating from Williams College, where she played varsity soccer for four years, Kim Webster  turned to distance running to satisfy her competitive tendencies. After suffering from a range of running related injuries, Kim decided to try her hand at triathlons. She immediately fell in love with the sport and began to tirelessly pursue her passion. Kim has competed at both the elite and professional levels during her triathlon career. Her career highlights include placing at the 70.3 World Championships on numerous occasions, earning a second place finish in the Best of the US Amateur Olympic Distance Triathlon, and most recently qualifying for the Ironman World Championships in Kona in 2016. Kim has competed in all triathlon distances from sprint to ironman, and has accumulated countless overall podium finishes at local as well as national races.

After entering into the realm of long course racing, Kim began realize the significant influence her mental state had on race performance.  She pursued the study of sports psychology to further understand how the mind affects performance to better herself as  an athlete and to enable her to help others. Kim earned her masters degree in Sports Psychology from Boston University in 2013.
Aside from participating in the sport of triathlon, Kim has taught high school math for 15 years. She has coached a multitude of teams and worked with individual athletes in a coaching environment, as well as in the role of sports psychologist or “performance enhancement specialist”. Kim is a USAT licensed triathlon coach as well as an Ironman Certified Coach. When she is not training, teaching, or coaching, Kim spends her time running around at home with her three young boys.
